Mark Bradford focuses on the health and carbon storage potential of forest, grassland and agricultural soils. He is primarily interested in how environmental change (e.g. land use or a warming climate) affects the biology and ecology of systems, and in turn their soils. His research aims to connect the impacts on soils to the consequences for society and the environment, and how we might better manage soils to restore the benefits they provide.
