At the request of parents in their community, Beulah Heights Church on Orchard Street is in the beginning planning stages of designing an after school program.  They are drafting a proposal that can be submitted to potential funders. They need assistance identifying funders, finalizing the proposal and developing a detailed implementation plan. The program will serve youth from Wexler Grant, Bassett and King Robinson schools.

Beulah Heights is active in their community, hosts an active community development corporation, has an excellent facility including an active education wing and will be a great place to volunteer.  If you’re interested in helping get this program off the ground please contact Gina Calder (Yale MPH grad) directly at ginacalder [at] sbcgolbal [dot] net.
