Informal Meet-and-Greet with May Boeve of 350.org (February 1)

Join us tomorrow for an informal meet and greet and Q&A session with May Boeve of 350.org, TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 1, from 5:15-5:50pm, in Sage 32.

May Boeve, organizer and strategist extraordinaire with 350.org, is coming to Yale to speak to the campaigns course about the Keystone fight and will be meeting with interested students before the start of the class for an informal meet and greet and Q&A. This is a great opportunity to talk to one of the key architects of the Keystone XL campaign in a small discussion setting!

More about the Keystone Campaign and 350.org:

The Obama Administration’s record on climate change is mixed.  At a time when many climate change advocates have been lamenting the Administration’s commitment to tackling climate change, the President unexpectedly announced a delay in approval for the controversial Keystone XL pipeline designed to bring bitumen from Alberta’s tar sands to gasoline refineries in the U.S. How did this turnabout occur? 350.org and a coalition of environmental and clean energy business interests waged a fierce and ultimately successful effort to kill the pipeline.   May Boeve, executive director of the 350.org, was at the center of this effort.
