Westies+Sage Western Photo Essay (Call for Submissions)
Westies and Sage Magazine are putting together a photo essay, a collection of images that express or discuss current western North American environmental issues.
Please submit images that you have come across during your internships/jobs/travels/etc.
Photos will eventually be accompanied by a brief caption of your choosing referencing the issue and the location. This is a chance for you to share with a broad readership a place or issue that moved you. Not sure if what you have will work? Submit it anyway! We’re looking for a range of submissions from urban landscapes to portraits of the wilderness, from wild animals to normal people, so don’t be shy!
Photograph a forest fire fighter in Baja? Visit a water plant in the Mojave? Witness the trial megaload truck rolling up through Idaho to the Canadian tar sands? Get a shot of a Mountain Pine Beetle affected Lodgepole Pine Stand in Montana? Capture the image of oil drillers in British Columbia? Got a great shot of caribou migration in Alaska?
If so, we want your photos!
Photos, questions, and comments should be submitted electronically to shane (dot) hetzler (at) yale (dot) edu by no later than Friday, February 10th. Thanks!
